  The C8 Corvette Stingray convertible was the first-ever hardtop convertible offered. All convertible models that precede it were equipped with soft tops. The hardtop also provides a quieter cabin, increased security, and a cleaner look when compared to the previous soft-top designs. “Our goal from the beginning was to make sure customers didn’t have to sacrifice any functionality, performance or comfort when choosing the hardtop convertible,” said Josh Holder, Corvette program engineering manager. “We managed to keep the same design theme as the coupe, as well as the exceptional storage capacity and track capability.”

  Under the rear bonnet, is the 6.2-liter LT2 V-8 in the C8's tail makes 495 horsepower with the dual-mode performance exhaust that's included in the Z51 package (base cars without that exhaust make 490hp). That's up 35 ponies from the C7 Z51's engine, which keeps the pounds-per-horsepower ratios of the two cars virtually equal. The magic of the C8 Stingray starts with a chassis developed with 60.6 percent of its mass over the rear tires—the C7 Stingray had a roughly 50/50 front-to-rear weight distribution—the C8 is ferocious off the line.  Aided by its quick-shifting eight-speed dual-clutch automatic and a well-calibrated launch-control system, the C8 rips off zero-to-60-mph runs in 2.8 seconds. 

  This 2021 Chevrolet Corvette is a highly spec’d example finished in striking Blade Silver Metallic accented by Jet Black Napa Leather. Optioned with the 3LT package which includes all the luxury options of the 2LT with the addition of Competition seats, carbon fiber trim, custom leather-wrapped interior, Suede-wrapped upper interior trim and leather-wrapped door panels. For added performance, the Z51 package was optioned which includes performance brakes, magnetic ride, performance exhaust, electronic limited slip rear differential, enhanced cooling, front brake cooling ducts, Michelin Pilot Sport 4s tires, front splitter and rear spoiler. Other options include Red painted calipers, adrenaline red custom leather stitch and Carbon Flash Metallic painted outside mirrors.
