  Chevrolet first introduced the Z06 option in 1963 on the iconic split window, to create the ultimate road race package for enthusiasts. The package was developed by Corvette’s legendary lead engineer and racing advocate Zora Arkus-Duntov. The Z06 option was designed to allow consumers to bolster the Corvettes performance and handling capabilities for use on the racetrack. Throughout the years the Z06 package has been offered on many different Corvette generations (C2, C5, C6, C7 and C8) and the fundamentals have remained the same throughout all Z06 variants.

  Performance was the number one goal for Chevrolet when building the C7 Z06, with its supercharged 6.2L LT4 engine, producing 650hp and 650 lb-ft, at the time of its release (2015) making it GM’s most powerful production car. The LT4 engine paired with its 7-speed manual transmission, allows the car to reach 0-60mph in a mind bending 3.2 seconds. While the primary focus was on performance, they maintained the daily usability and creature comforts on the car, power folding convertible roof, dual zone automatic climate control, heads up display and apple carplay.
