When Chevrolet was about to introduce production version of the long awaited Camaro ZL1, Ford saw fit to rain on their parade. The 580hp ZL1, what only one year previously would have been deemed very stout was completely over shadowed by the announcement that Ford would put 662 horsepower in the new Shelby and it would have a to speed of over 200 mph. To help handle all this power appropriately this particular car is equipped with the optional SVT Performance package which includes TORSEN differential, 19" front and 20" rear wheels, cockpit adjustable Bilstein dampers, unique rear springs and a special instrument cluster/shifter combination.
