When Chevrolet was about to introduce production version of the long-awaited Camaro ZL1, Ford saw fit to rain on their parade. Everyone knows the partnership between Ford and Shelby has resulted in some legendary Mustangs. The 580hp ZL1, which was once king of the hill, was completely overshadowed by the announcement that Ford and Shelby would put 662 horsepower in the new Shelby with a top speed of over 200 mph. Not only that but new suspension, sticky tires and special electric steering would give this Shelby handling characteristics previously unheard of in the Mustang universe!

This eye catching 2013 Shelby GT500 is finished in menacing Black with Red hood and tape stripe complemented by a matching Black/Red interior with Recaro seats. Lift the lightweight aluminum hood and you’ll find the heart of the new Shelby, 5.8L supercharged V8 generating 662hp and equally impressive 631 lb/ft of torque backed by a 6-speed manual transmission. To help handle all this power appropriately this car is equipped with both the track package and the optional SVT Performance package which includes TORSEN differential, cockpit adjustable Bilstein dampers, unique rear springs and a special instrument cluster/shifter combination. The previous owner added a set of custom Foose wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires and a custom Borla exhaust.

Since being delivered new, this Shelby has seen a meager 5195 miles of use, and as such shows just as well as the day it rolled off the assembly line. These are among the most powerful cars in production in the world right now, being a Mustang, it seems only fitting that it have the legendary name Shelby attached to it!
