The Chevrolet Camaro went on sale for the 1967 model year. Chevrolet Executives needed this new sporty compact car to effectively deal with the runaway success of the 'Stang. Four distinct generations of the Camaro were developed before production ended in 2002 much to the dismay of the legion of Camaro fans.

The first-generation Camaro would last until the 1969 model year and eventually became the inspiration for the design of the new retro fifth-generation Camaro. As a result, once again the Camaro had the challenge of harnessing some of the sales market dominated by the Ford horse. For this task Camaro received a complete redesign and new platform for the 2010 model year. The new Camaro went on sale in spring of 2009 as a 2010 model. In late January 2011, the production of Convertibles added an aluminum brace over the engine assembly and under the transmission for greater ride satisfaction. The SS was powered by the 6.2 L LS3 V8 producing 426 hp and paired with a 6-speed manual. Alternatively, the 6-speed automatic transmission SS version was linked with the 6.2 L L99 V8 having 400 hp. The retro styling is unmistakably classic Camaro. The 2SS package means Brembo High Performance 4-wheel Anti-Lock Disc Brakes and Stabilitrack Electronic Stability Control with Traction Control. Out back the Dual-Outlet stainless steel exhaust exits through Polished Tips providing a great look.
