2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

The Corvette has been Chevrolet's flagship sports car since the original C1 debut in 1953.  Over the years, Chevrolet has increased the power output of the engine and given it some more performance credentials, however the concept is still the same.  It's a low-slung, road-hugging two-seater that sports a powerful V8 engine upfront and a fantastic engine note at the rear.

The heart of this Z06 is the massively powerful 7-liter, 505-horsepower cast-aluminum V8 engine, pumping out 75 more horses than the regular 2008 Corvette.  The 7-liter LS7 engine in the Z06 has the same basic architecture as the V8 in the regular Corvette, but it is cast differently to accommodate the car's bigger, 4.125 cylinder bores. The connecting rods and intake valves are made of lightweight titanium.  To dispel the heat generated by the huge engine, there is an elaborate "dry sump" oiling system that is pressurized to keep oil flow constant during hard cornering.  The Z06 can jump from 0 to 60 miles per hour in well under four seconds - Car and Driver magazine has clocked the Z06 in a blistering 3.4.

This 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is from a prominent private collection, and has only travelled 49 miles since new.  Naturally with the car being this close to brand new, everything from the navigation DVDs, window sticker, floor mats, plastic wrap on carpets and spare key is present.  The Chevrolet presents itself in Victory Red, and this paint colour really suits the personality of the car.  The Z06 sits on optional 10 spoke chrome wheels, featuring red colour matching brake calipers.  A low profile black spoiler and black front lip adds nice contrast to the Vette'.

 Inside, Ebony/Linen two tone perforated leather seats are soft to the touch and the two tone pattern continues to the dash, door panel and center console areas creating a very luxurious cabin.  Further luxuries inside include navigation system, Bose premium audio, heated seats, push key ignition and XM satellite radio.
