When the Ford Motor Company announced that they would produce a modern supercar based on the legendary GT40 of the 60’s which famously trounced Ferrari at LeMans, most enthusiasts and collectors thought it would be a unique car for the modern era, but I don’t think anyone would have predicted the car would have been so brilliantly engineered and such a popular collector car. In today’s market these cars continue to do incredibly well with a great following and with only limited production through 2005 and 2006 there is now a large demand for quality, low mileage examples with desirable colors and options.

This particular Ford GT is a 2006 model finished in Mark IV Red with the optional white striping package, which makes it one of only 348 Ford GT’s in this factory color. This car has been collector owned and maintained since new and has many of the available options including the forged wheels, previously mentioned stripe package and red painted calipers. Having traveled a mere 3,460 miles, the car remains in as new condition, but also has just enough mileage to justify using it for a few miles every year. Powered by the 5.4L Supercharged V8 with 6-speed manual transmission, this GT can provide the thrill of a lifetime on the track, but also be a comfortable ride on the street getting there. It of course has the GT car cover, air pump, books and keys as expected as well as a lot of original paperwork such as window sticker, dealer invoices and much more.
