2005 Ford GT

Very rare Quick Silver Metallic, Ultra Low Mileage Ford GT.It was in France, in the mid 1960s, that the great American supercar came to life.  A low-slung, muscular racing car built to win on the legendary Le Mans race circuit, the Ford GT40 project was spearheaded by no less than company Chairman and CEO Henry Ford II.  His goal was to change performance car history.  And he did.  The Ford GT40 race car beat the world's best in endurance racing, placing 1-2-3 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966 and winning the next three consecutive years.

The 2005-2006 Ford GT maintains the fantastic styling of the original GT40 while bringing more amenities and interior comfort from larger vehicle proportions.  This particular Ford GT example has been finished in the stunning Quick Silver Metallic.  This is the most exclusive colour with only 156/4039 Ford GTs ever made were factory painted in this colour.  At speed, this vehicle would likely carry the nickname "silver bullet."  Enhancing the fantastic paint work is twin black stripes running the entire length of the car.  Continuing the stripes over the top is an option this vehicle is equipped with.  Other options include the sleek BBS wheels and the Macintosh audio package.

The specifications on the rear tires tells the story about the massive power this Ford GT produces.  The supercharged 5.4L V8 sends 550hp and 500 lb-ft. of torque to P315/40ZR19 Goodyear Eagle F1 "Supercar" rear tires.  The result is a 0-60 in the 3 second range with a top speed electronically limited to 205mph.  Exceptional handling and driving dynamics are the result of race oriented suspension with braking handled by four-piston aluminum Brembo calipers and cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.  The end result is a low slung, aerodynamic supercar ready to take on Europe's finest.  However this particular Ford GT is not even broken in yet, and is perhaps the lowest mileage Quick Silver Ford GT known to exist - only 117.4 miles have ever been driven since leaving the factory.

The Ford GT has seen a sharp increase in collectability in recent years, as the long initial waiting list and limited production run has kept collectors and enthusiasts interested in acquiring these cars.  The high demand is simply a result of everything the Ford GT offers; legendary racing heritage, sharp styling, raw performance and modern amenities will likely have this Ford GT seeing tens of thousands of miles.
