2004 Lotus Esprit V8 Final Edition

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 2004 Lotus Esprit Final Edition

  Unveiled as a concept car at the Turin Motor Show in 1972, the Esprit entered production in the mid 1970s and was built for 28 years making it Lotus’s longest standing production model. Throughout its life cycle, the car went through many revisions ultimately separated into four different generations were built (S1,S2,S3,S4). To celebrate the end of the Esprit, Lotus decided to create the ultimate version dubbed the “Final Edition”. Only 75 examples of the Final Edition were ever produced from 2002-2004. This final iteration utilized the Lotus designed 3.5L twin turbocharged V8 engine producing 350hp/295lbs paired with a 5 speed manual transmission and with a curb weight of 3,050 pounds allowed it to compete with the best from Lamborghini, Ferrari and Porsche. Other features unique to the Final Edition include bigger brakes, eibach springs, hand built engine plaque, diamond pattern seat stitching, shortened gear lever with brushed aluminum shift knob and tire pressure monitor. 

  The example offered here for sale is factory finished in Phantom Black with a matching Black leather interior, resulting in an overall menacing appearance. With only 16,475 miles from new, this example has been rarely driven and maintained extensively throughout ownership. The black leather interior of the car has been very preserved and remains in great condition for its age. The previous owner upgraded the car with a stainless steel exhaust system, carbon fiber engine cover, glass roof and alpine navigation touch screen. The original components were kept in the case it would be returned to factory specification. Rolling stock are a set of staggered 17/18inch alloy wheels wrapped in modern Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (245/40 ZR17 Fronts) (285/35/ ZR18 Rears). Included with the sale is the stock exhaust, stock engine cover, tools, manuals, service records, driving gloves and additional body-color targa roof. 

  With only 75 examples ever produced and ultra low mileage, this Final Edition is a great example of a future collectible. With its unique looks, amazing performance and rarity, these cars are severely undervalued in the market. The best version of the famed Esprit model, the Final edition will be the most desirable variant going forward.
