2004 Ford Lightning

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 2004 Ford SVT Lightning 

  The 2nd Gen SVT Lightning was launched for the 1999 model year with new styling features and unmatched performance, promising potential buyers the opportunity to own the World's fastest production pickup for around $30,000. Available only as a regular cab, step side model, the Lightning was much more than a standard F-150 with visual accents. An Eaton supercharged 5.4L V-8 provided 360 hp and 440 lb-ft of torque in 1999, and was later upgraded to 380 hp and 450 lb-ft. A 4R100 4 speed automatic transmission was borrowed from the Ford Super Duty platform to transmit power to a limited slip 9.75" rear axle, and traction was maximized by Goodyear rubber at all four corners. The engine was designed by Roush and Ford's Special Vehicle Team, upgraded with such parts as forged rods, lower compression pistons, and a forged crankshaft. Big horsepower and not much weight make for an energetic ride to the tune of 13.7-seconds e.t.s and runs 0-60mph in 5.8 seconds. 

  This example offered for sale was sold at Bill Pierre Ford in Seattle, Washington and was ordered in Bright Red Clearcoat paint with Medium Graphite Cloth/Leather interior. With only 5,975 miles on the odometer this Lightning has been climate controlled stored and looks like it just rolled off the dealership floor. Accompanying the sale of this special truck is the SVT Certificate, owner’s manuals and two sets of keys. 

  With the help of Ford’s Special Vehicle Team the F150 pickup truck was transformed into a whole new performance category and has now become an American classic. These trucks are becoming immensely popular and examples like the one offered for sale are becoming harder to find with such low mileage and great documentation.
