In 2002 Chevrolet released the new and improved Corvette Z06 that saw a power increase from 2001 of 20HP, making it the fastest production Corvette ever at the time. The ’02 also had increased torque, suspension upgrades, clutch improvements, the second-generation active handling, a digital windshield HUD, and several new color options. The 2002 Z06 was one of the very few cars that were being built in America at the time to offer the high power, but also control and braking ability that make it a true, world-class sports car, capable of competing with its European competitors.

After it completed its production in Bowling Green, this 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was delivered to and sold new at Gary Encks Car Store Inc. in Cooperstown, New York. It has only driven an astonishingly low 2,244 miles since it left the plant. Factory painted in Black and with the Black interior trim, this Z06 looks as mean as it is. It is powered by the standard 5.7L 405HP V8 engine and 6-Speed Manual Transmission. In order to keep this power under control, the second-generation active handling and the Corvette’s traction control system are in place. 4-wheel independent suspension makes for a smoother ride but also greatly improved agility and performance. The power steering is speed sensitive, making the steering very responsive at speed and easy to wheel at slow speeds. Other options on this Corvette Z06 are; power heated mirrors, the factory titanium exhaust system, AM/FM Stereo with CD and Bose Speakers, Dual Zone A/C, HUD, electronic speed control, leather trimmed seats and steering wheel, power driver seat, power door locks and windows, and PSIR suppression/cutoff. Accompanying this Z06 are the original books and manuals, the original window sticker, a Wolf Automotive car cover, many original and spare parts, spare key, and the original bill of sale.
