The story how the Prowler came about is that the then Chrysler President Bob Lutz saw a sketch of the retro rod on design manager Kevin Verduyn's office wall. He likes it, and counseled that I have "more attitude." Bob brought a great deal of industry experience and passion to the table and was known as the proud owner of several Chrylser collector cars while in command. His support for the project was key to making it happen. All too often manufacturers will present a concept car or a design that is so eye catching and head turning that the buying public can't help but be drawn to it; all while knowing the manufacturer would never actually produce a car like that for the streets! Chrysler shocked everyone by putting the Prowler into production, creating a true hot rod style car that to this day grabs the attention of other drivers and passersby like few other production cars "¦.
