The fourth generation of Camaro lasted from 1993 until 2002. Newer technology and better materials made the fourth generation Camaro see a massive improvement from the third generation. General Motors used plastic body panels, and a steel space frame to greatly reduce weight. They also implemented a better suspension system and offered the LT1 engine from the Corvette, on the Camaro until 1998 when the new LS1 engine took over. 2002 marked the final year of production for the Camaro before a 7-year hiatus.

This 1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS has traveled only 1,615 miles since sold new at Tom Hesser Chevrolet in Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is powered by GM’s then brand new LS1 engine, that puts out an impressive 305hp, and is a lot lighter than the LT1 due to the newly designed aluminum cylinder block with iron sleeves. The Camaro comes in its original black paint that, due to the low mileage, looks brand new. It has a 6 speed manual transmission as well as a functional ram air hood scoop. This Camaro is equipped with air conditioning and also sports the desired T-Tops that are easily removed and reinstalled. The 1998 Camaro’s front clip was also changed from previous years. The headlights are no longer rectangular and sunk in, but are more rounded and align with the nose and hood. This Camaro Z28 SS still has the original window sticker that has been framed, as well as the original owner’s manual and GM Protection Plan booklet.
