In the 1974 model year, the G Series built from August 1973 to July 1974, was advertised as ‘Inspiration for a New Porsche Generation”. The ‘74’s had three significant changes. The air-cooled Flat 6 engine was increased to 2687 cc which is approximately 164 cu in. This Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC) engine design has two valves per cylinder and achieved higher torque. The second change was the new larger/sturdier impact bumpers conforming to the low-speed protection requirements of US regulations. This was the 911’s first appearance change since introduction and was so tastefully done so as to retain the full beauty of the classic styling lines. Thirdly, the use of K-Jetronic CIS Bosch fuel injection in two of the three models in the lineup— the 911 and 911S models now had a 2.7-litre engine producing 150 hp and 175 hp respectively. As well the 1974 Carrera 2.7 was available with the "ducktail "rear spoiler, first introduced with the 1973 Carrera RS, now standard on the North American Carrera.

This beautiful Carrera is finished in its factory color of B6 color code of Light Yellow with the Black Leatherette/High-Back Bucket seat interior. The very desirable ‘Duck Tail Engine Lid’ provides a distinctive rear deck appearance. Powered courtesy of a dry sump-type lubrication and naturally aspirated 2.7 Litre engine featuring single overhead camshaft valve gear in a 6 cylinder layout. The engine transmits power to the 5-Spoke Porsche chrome wheels via a 5-Speed Manual Transmission. Other features of this USA delivered 911 Carrera include the Blaupunkt radio, white rectangular fog lamps, power windows and tinted glass all around.

A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity will be provided to the proud new owner. This low mileage Porsche also has the original Owner’s manual, ID card and tool kit.
