Introduced in 1967, the Fiat Dino coupé was intended to be a genuine Grand Tourer with seating for four and the performance to match its elegant styling. Commissioned by Bertone, the legendary designers Giugiaro and Gandini turned their hand to its styling, which was acclaimed by critics when it was presented at the Geneva Motor Show. The Dino was equipped with an all-aluminum 2.4-litre V6, derived from the Dino 196 racing engine which had been developed by Ferrari. With its modern design featuring a five-speed gearbox, limited-slip differential and all-round disc brakes, Giovanni Agnelli, the industrial tycoon, was among the rich owners to appreciate the model.
This Fiat Dino 2400 coupe has benefitted from no expense spared restoration done by a Ferrari dealership for the principal's personal collection. Painted in the beautiful and classic shade of Rosso Corsa that has been wet sanded and polish to a show quality finish. The black leather interior has been completely re-done and looks like it had rolled out of the factory. Under the hood, the 2.4-Liter Ferrari V6 engine has been gone through and detailed to oem specifications. The chrome and bright work gleem. The Cromodora rims were refinished and wrapped with Michelin tires. This is an absolutely stunning restoration, raley ever seen on these cars. It was restored for the owners personal collection and complete with the Ferrari invoices for the work performed.
With its Ferrari derived powerplant and Bertone design, this Fiat Dino 2400 Coupe is a great GT car that is meant to be enjoyed.
