  The 1972 Chevrolet Corvette LT1 represents one of the final and finest expressions of raw small-block performance from the golden era of American muscle. With its high-revving 350 cubic inch V8 engine and factory-rated 255 horsepower, the LT1 offered a thrilling balance of performance, handling, and style. Built for true driving enthusiasts, it combined track-worthy power with the unmistakable curves of the iconic C3 Corvette.

  This model year marked the final run for both the chrome front and rear bumpers and the LT1 engine, making them a highly sought-after collector's piece. The LT1 engine package came with a solid-lifter camshaft, high-compression pistons, and a Holley 4-barrel carburetor, giving it a distinctive lopey idle and a sound that commands attention. This was also the only year that air conditioning was available with the high revving LT1.  Of the cars equipped with an LT1 only 240 examples came from the factory with air conditioning.
