For the 1971 model year, Ford introduced a drastically redesigned Mustang. To this day the design is scrutinized, but sales were still strong compared to the competitors. For that year and that year only, one model stood out and would be looked at as being one of the best balanced performance Mustangs ever built and the last of the series of impressive BOSS cars. Only 1,805 BOSS 351 Mustangs were built featuring a special version of the 351Clevelandengine and 4 speed transmission. With 0-60 times being competitive with the previous generation 428CJ and the balanced handling of a BOSS 302, they were fantastic all around cars.

Still finished in its original factory applied Bright Red paint, this incredible original BOSS 351 was sold new May 20^th 1971 at Sam Galloway Ford located in Fort Meyers Florida. The car was optioned with the sport deck rear seat, rear deck spoiler, AM/8-track radio and console, all features it of course retains today! The incredible overall condition of this car today shows the care that it has had since new. The paint has just the right amount of patina while still showing beautifully, bright vermillion interior with black dash board and console in excellent condition showing hardly any signs of wear and the of course the incredible numbers matching BOSS 351 engine starts, runs and sounds just the way it should. The car is of course documented with a deluxe report from Marti Auto Works, but if that's not enough it also has lots of original documentation including the owner/warranty ID cars, original build sheet, owner ship trail dating from the early 1990's back to when new and even the original State of Florida 5 day temporary tag dated May 20, 1971. A thorough inspection of the car still shows the red oxide primer under carriage with drip markings, colour coded stripes on the driveshaft and much more. This truly is one of, if not the best original BOSS 351 in existence today. This BOSS 351 is a very rare and unique opportunity for the BOSS Mustang enthusiast or collectors who search for fantastic original examples or rare collector cars.
