When the second-generation Camaro arrived in the middle of the 1970 model year, it was quite apparent Chevrolet was moving the Camaro in a different direction. It was longer, lower, and wider than the first-generation Camaro with a convertible body-type was no longer available. GM engineers have said the second generation is much more of "A Driver's Car" than its predecessor.  Although in 1971 Chevrolet offered Big Block power from the 270 horsepower (L34) and 300 horsepower (L78) 396 V8s, these weren’t the best engine packages available. Chevrolet instead spent its effort touting the 330-horsepower small-block Z28 350 cubic-inch V8. The changes Chevrolet’s engineers made to the new Camaro led it to win many races In the famous SCCA Trans Am series.

This Z28 was built in the Norwood, Ohio plant and sold new at Mcdonald Chev Olds. This second-generation fully documented Z28 Camaro in Lime Green is in a rarely seen color with the complimentary black stripes and green interior. This very well documented example is fitted with the front and rear spoilers and distinctive Z28 15” wheels.  This Camaro is powered by a numbers matching 350 /330 HP and mated to the 4 speed Muncie transmission with a Hurst shifter. The interior is also fitted with the full instrument package and high back bucket seats. Other factory options include 4.10 Posi, Power Steering, Power Brakes, F41 Suspension, Am Radio, Windshield Antenna, Tachometer and Clock.
