1970 Lincoln Continental

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III.

The original Lincoln Continental was produced from 1939 to 1948, and was an instant classic with its luxuries amenities and stylish looks. The Mark II Continental came in 1956 and Lincoln tried to capture the popularity of the original, causing the price to reach close to $10,000. The high price tag hindered the sales of the Mark II and less than 3,000 were sold in total. When the Mark III was released in 1968, the price tag was a more reasonable $6,741. Along with many other improvements, the chassis was designed for a smoother ride, and the soundproofing was increased, making the Continental Mark III a true luxury car.

This 1970 Lincoln Continental was assembled in the Wixom, Michigan Assembly Plant and was owned by a Rocket Scientist in California. It has the factory 460 V8 Four Barrel engine and a Select-Shift Turbo-Drive automatic transmission. It is painted in the factory Dark Maroon color with Saddle Leather interior. The spacious interior comes with air conditioning, power windows, power mirrors, power brakes and power steering, while the exterior the unmistakable Mark III wheel arches, faux tire hump on the trunk, and vertical grille. The headlights are vacuum concealed and the windshield wipers are concealed under the hood making the car have a smooth and seamless look. This ’70 Continental was featured in a Chanel Photoshoot with the model taking multiple pictures from outside and inside of the car.
