Meticulous Rotisserie Restoration

The famous saying, "if you're going to do something, you may as well do it right" is very true for all projects, certainly including the field of automotive restoration. When undertaking a full rotisserie restoration, you are not just investing dollars and cents but a considerable amount of time. If you are skillful and knowledgeable enough to tackle such a project on your own, it is often the time impact that catches many off guard. This absolutely exquisite BOSS 302 Mustang is a perfect example of how the end result can make it all worth while!

After acquiring a factory BOSS 302 Mustang, the proud new owners took the time to investigate what they now had. What they found was a fully documented BOSS, nicely optioned with power steering, sport slats, console, rear deck spoiler and more. The factory white rhino/Corinthian vinyl bucket seats also really set off the correct Calypso Coral paint. Close inspection of the BOSS 302 motor and close ratio Top Loader 4 speed revealed correct VIN stampings making it a numbers matching car. With all this great information and a particularly picky eye for detail, it was deemed that this car deserved the best. A complete rotisserie restoration was started and would continue for the better part of a decade. Correct NOS or original parts were sought out while spending many hours rebuilding existing components, lots of attention put towards details such as red oxide primer with correct body colour over spray, black splatter in correct areas, ensuring excellent panel fitment and gaps and of course overall build quality. The end result of all this work speaks volumes for itself. The car not only shows beautifully from top to bottom but functions just as well. It is of course fully documented with a Deluxe Marti Report, an original car invoice and during restoration an original build sheet was removed from the car as well. A complete photo diary of the restoration accompanies the car showcasing its excellent pre-restoration condition and all important casting and stamped numbers.
