LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T - 440ci Six Pack
Introduced in 1970, the Dodge Challenger R/T quickly became one of the most formidable performance offerings of the muscle-car era, especially when equipped with the legendary 440 Six Pack engine. Combining bold High Impact colors, aggressive styling, and Chrysler’s top big-block performance technology, the Six Pack R/T delivered exceptional straight-line performance and a commanding road presence. This example captures that legacy perfectly, having been rotisserie restored to factory-correct standards in its original Sublime Green with Black vinyl roof and Black Bumblebee stripe.
Delivered new through Glavic Dodge in Parma, Ohio, as the dealer's Demo. This Challenger R/T was factory equipped with the V code 440 Six Pack V8, producing 390 horsepower and paired with the heavy-duty D34 Torqueflite automatic transmission. Finished in its Factory-ordered Hi-Impact FJ5 Sublime Green, this car would have made a bold statement sitting on the dealer's showroom floor. The R/T package provided power front disc brakes, heavy-duty suspension, dual exhaust, performance tires, and the iconic performance hood with tie-down pins, all contributing to the model’s legendary street reputation.
Its long list of factory options adds further desirability, starting with the A01 Light Package (map, courtesy, glovebox, trunk, and time-delay lighting), A62 Rallye Instrument Cluster with full gauges and 150-mph speedometer, and G36 dual racing mirrors with driver’s remote adjustment. Additional comfort and appearance features include power brakes (B51), center console (C16), rear window defogger (H31), front and rear bumper guards (M25), drip rail moldings (M21), AM/8-Track stereo (R22) with rear seat speaker (R31), and tinted glass (G11).
The heart of the car—the 440 Six Pack V8 with triple two-barrel carburetors—remains one of Chrysler’s most iconic performance engines, delivering broad torque and unmistakable throttle response. Paired with the robust Torqueflite automatic, this Challenger R/T offered one of the quickest and most usable high-performance packages of the muscle-car era.
Benefiting from a previous complete rotisserie restoration, this Challenger has been refinished, detailed, and assembled to factory-correct standards, replicating the colors, finishes, and equipment shown on the broadcast sheet. The result is a highly authentic and exceptionally presented 1970 Challenger R/T 440 Six Pack—an iconic High Impact–color Mopar restored to its original glory.
