LMC is very proud to offer for sale 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS

The 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS represents the pinnacle of Chevrolet’s unique fusion of muscle car performance and pickup practicality. As part of the revered A-body lineup, the '70 El Camino adopted the bold styling and potent powertrains of the Chevelle SS, making it one of the most distinctive vehicles of its time. Under the hood, the SS package offered serious performance, with engine options including the 396 cubic-inch big-block V8 paired with either a 4-speed manual or automatic transmission, the El Camino SS delivered exhilarating acceleration and a commanding road presence.Visually, the SS variant boasted aggressive styling cues such as a domed hood with optional stripes, bold SS badging, and a blackout grille. A range of vivid exterior colors, chrome trim, and rally wheels completed the performance look, while the El Camino’s long, sloping bed added unique character and utility.

This 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS offered here is an outstanding example that is documented from the factory with a huge option list unlike most! Originally built at Van Nuys, California plant, this El Camino has remained in California for the majority of its life. Factory ordered in one of the most desirable color combinations code 25 Astro Blue paint with white SS stripes complemented by a white vinyl top. Inside, the cabin features optional Black vinyl bucket seats with the optional console, tilt steering wheel, factory air conditioning, Am/Fm radio, electric clock. As per the build sheet, other options include remote control mirror, sun visor mirror, console, ash-tray lamp, glove box lamp, ash tray lamp, tinted glass and more.

Under the factory ZL2 Cowl Induction hood, lies the L34 396ci Turbo Jet big-block V-8 which in factory trim was rated at 350 HP and 415 lb-ft of torque. Sending that power to a M40 three-speed automatic transmission and the 12-bolt posi-traction rear end. Front disc brakes were part of the Super Sport package for 1970; here the brakes are power assisted, as is the steering.

From its vivid paint to its well-optioned features, this Astro Blue 1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS is an outstanding representation of Chevrolet’s golden muscle car era. Documented with a build sheet that outlines an impressive amount of factory options, this example would be a perfect addition to any Muscle car collection.
