Fully Restored & Fully Documented Numbers Matching Factory SS 396/350hp

If there was ever an unmistakable and iconic Muscle Car, it must be the 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. After a few years of small changes and styling tweaks everything came together beautifully for 1970, the year that would also end up being the peak of muscle car performance before rising insurance costs and of course the rising price of gasoline began to put an end to the fun.

This beautiful 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle has been fully restored to reflect the way it rolled off the Atlanta assembly plant before heading out to Carter Chevrolet in Shelby North Carolina where it would be sold new. During the restoration there was the very fortunate discovery of not one but two factory build sheets which confirmed the long list of great factory options and course its factory livery. Some of those options include black bucket seat interior with console, black vinyl roof, white hood and deck stripes, F41 suspension, power front disc brakes, power steering and of course documenting the numbers matching 396/350hp engine with numbers matching transmission. All of this is wrapped in the very attractive factory colour of Black Cherry contrasting perfectly with the previously mentioned white stripes and black vinyl roof. Today the car shows beautifully with its paint polished to a great finish and even the undercarriage showing a great attention to detail from the factory replicated paint daubs to the tags on the springs and even correct spiral shocks. This car is a great example for either collector or enthusiast. With the limited information available on a Chevelle without original documentation,  an example which can be verified as a factory SS 396/350hp will remain a desirable car for many years to come.
