1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

Restored & Documented Z/28

The first major redesign of the Camaro brought big changes to the body style and some changes to the drivetrain options as well. A big change was to the very popular Z/28 model. Gone was the 302 engine, replaced by the LT1 350 cu in rated at an impressive 360 hp. This engine would develop a strong following with its aggressive sound and performance to back it up.

Presented here is a 1970 model Chevrolet Camaro with the Z/28 option. The car still shows just the way it rolled off the Van Nuys ( Los Angeles ) California assembly plant, Hugger Orange with black stripes and black vinyl interior. The car is powered by a 350 cubic inch LT1 engine which is wonderfully detailed and even retains the correct Californiaemissions system. Behind the engine is a numbers matching Muncie M20 4 speed transmission and 12 bolt rear axle. As is documented with the cars build sheet which is still well preserved and with the car, it came nicely optioned with power steering, power brakes, windshield antenna, console, tinted glass, optional tail lights and of course the Z/28 package, F41 suspension to name but a few. Having been nicely restored, this Camaro presents itself exceptionally well with a very straight body, nicely polished paint and it drives equally well with nice tight steering and no squeaks or rattles. Being a fully documented factory Hugger Orange Z/28 makes this a desirable muscle car and when combined with the original documentation, great condition and driveability ensure it is a great acquisition for the collector or Camaro enthusiast.
