LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28

Introduced at the dawn of the second-generation Camaro, the 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 stands as one of the rarest and most formidable small-block muscle cars ever produced. While many muscle car buyers of the era gravitated toward big-block powerplants, Chevrolet’s LT1 350ci/360hp V8 offered a unique blend of lightweight agility and high-revving performance—making the Z28 a hidden gem for purists and racing enthusiasts alike.

Presented here is a spectacular 1970 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 that has undergone a complete rotisserie restoration by Legendary Motorcar, restoring this iconic muscle car to concours-level standards. Upon stripping this special Z28 to bare metal at Legendary Motorcar, revealed an incredibly solid body that only required some very minimal metal work. Finished in its factory-correct Daytona Yellow with black stripes, this Z28 embodies the aggressive styling and performance that defined the dawn of the second-generation Camaro.

Under the hood lies the matching-numbers LT1 350ci/360hp solid-lifter V8 engine, paired with its numbers matching M20 Muncie four-speed transmission. This high-revving small-block was among the most revered of its era, blending race-inspired engineering with everyday drivability. Power is delivered through a Positraction rear axle, while power steering and power disc brakes ensure a confident and controlled driving experience.

Aesthetically, this Z28 is distinguished by its COPO 9796-style rear spoiler, a visual hallmark of early 1970 examples. The attention to detail continues underneath, where the undercarriage has been meticulously finished in red oxide primer and correctly detailed with factory-style assembly line markings. Inside, the car features a center console, tachometer and auxiliary gauges, and factory-correct appointments that complete the authentic presentation.

Documented with an NCRS Shipping Data Report, this Z28 was sold new at Ross Chevrolet in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is accompanied by restoration photographs and receipts attesting to its expert craftsmanship. It rides on proper Goodyear Polyglas F60-15 tires, completing the period-correct appearance.

Combining its matching-numbers drivetrain, exceptional restoration pedigree, and iconic color combination, complete with COPO 9796 Style Spoiler, this 1970 Camaro Z28 represents one of the finest examples of Chevrolet’s track-bred street machine.
