The first major redesign of the Camaro brought big changes to the body style and some changes to the drivetrain options as well. A big change was to the very popular Z/28 model. Gone was the 302 engine, replaced by the LT1 350 cu in rated at an impressive 360 hp. This engine would develop a strong following with its aggressive sound and performance to back it up.

Presented here is a 1970 ½ Z/28 model equipped with the desirable Rally Sport "RS" package. Painted in its original color of Camaro Gold with black stripes and equipped with optional black vinyl interior, just as it was when shipped from the Norwood Ohio assembly plant on the way to the original selling dealer Cunningham-Kelley Chevrolet in Hartsville , Tennessee . As is documented by the original window sticker, this Camaro also came with lots of optional equipment such as posi rear end, power brakes, sport mirrors, factory tach & console, previously mentioned RS package to name but a few. This Camaro has been well cared for and been treated to a complete restoration, which can be seen in the fantastic overall condition of the wet sanded and polished paint as well as the appearance of the red oxide primer on the undercarriage. The numbers matching LT1 engine has been beautifully detailed including original smog equipment along with the numbers matching Muncie M21 4 speed start and sound as impressive as ever while putting the 360hp to the original posi rear. Having spent the last few years as part of a collection, this special Z/28 this Camaro is ready for the next stage in owner history, ready to be driven and enjoyed, or shown as part of a collection.
