1969 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500

Fully Restored and Documented Cobra Jet GT500

For the 1969 model year, the Shelby GT500 was the top of the line Grand Touring muscle car of its day, a long list of amenities were available from power steering, tilt wheel, automatic transmission and even air conditioning. The distinctive styling separated it from the more average Mustang fastbacks while still being powered by the legendary Ford 428 Cobra Jet engine.

This beautiful maroon with white stripes and white interior GT500 was shipped to Marshall Motor Company in March of 1969 before being invoiced to Shelby Automotive Marketing for use as a company car.  Equipped then just as it is today, the car features a 428 Cobra Jet "R" code engine with automatic transmission. It is optioned with power steering, front disc brakes with power assist, fold down rear seat, rim blow wheel and gauges. Of course it also has all the extras that were installed in Shelbys of the day including the signature roll bar with should harnesses, Shelby engine hood with 5 scoops, unique center exit exhaust and Lucas driving lights. The car has been fully restored from the ground up. The undercarriage is finished in correct red oxide primer, the paint has been polished to a great finish, the engine bay has been very well detailed including proper stickers, tags and markings. This Shelby is nicely documented including Marti Report and listed in the Shelby Registry. It is an excellent opportunity for the collector or enthusiast searching for a big block Shelby GT500 to drive and enjoy.
