   The story of how the BOSS 429 was created has been told many times over. The legend of the BOSS 429 is almost bigger and more impressive than the car itself. Only 859 BOSS 429s were built in 1969 but ask any Mustang or muscle car enthusiast what the ultimate Mustang would be and they will undoubtedly say the BOSS 429. Clean, functional and aggressive styling matched the car's performance and reputation and the monster sized motor under the large hood scoop are the elements that made it so famous and legendary. All the same elements that make these cars so sought after as collectibles today garnering some of the highest values of any Mustang ever produced.

   On June 30th of 1969 one very fortunate customer picked up their brand-new BOSS 429 Mustang from Riverside Ford in Newport Kentucky. Finished in desirable Candy Apple Red, it had black interior along with all the options found on BOSS 429 cars such as power steering, power front disc brakes, deluxe interior, deluxe belts/warning lights, tachometer, console, trunk mounted battery, functional front air spoiler, oil cooler, traction lok differential and of course a heavy duty 4 speed transmission. 

   The story of what makes this particular BOSS so special does not end there. Later in its life the car would undergo a stunning, complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration to the way it rolled out of Kar Kraft after final assembly. Utilizing the valuable and rare components that make BOSS 429 cars so special from the carburetor to the smog equipment, a lot of attention was put towards authenticity and correctness. Upon completion of the restoration the car hit the judging circuit, quickly accumulating many very impressive awards including Mustang Club of America Division 1 Gold for 1969-1971 BOSS cars, AACA National First prize, SAAC BOSS Division II Gold, all within a span of only a few years. 

   Today the car remains in absolutely beautiful condition from top to bottom. It retains judging sheets as provenance of its awards, restoration photos of the process, Deluxe Marti Report and much more. A stunning example of a very desirable car with proven provenance - for the astute collector this is the ultimate combination.
