LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1969 Dodge Super Bee A12 Hardtop

The 1969 Dodge Super Bee A12 is a no-nonsense street warrior, purpose-built to dominate the dragstrip. Part of Dodge’s “Scat Pack” lineup, the A12 package transformed the already potent Super Bee into a bare-knuckle brawler by equipping it with a fire-breathing 440 cubic inch V8 topped with three Holley two-barrel carburetors—famously known as the “Six-Pack.” Factory-rated at 390 horsepower and 490 lb-ft of torque, this setup made the A12 one of the fastest cars of its era. This special package also featured a heavy-duty 727 TorqueFlite automatic or a 4-speed manual transmission, Dana 60 rear axle with 4.10 gears, black steel wheels with redline tires, and a lift-off fiberglass hood with a massive functional scoop. The spartan hood was held in place with four hood pins—no hinges or insulation—signaling this car’s true purpose: speed.

Benefiting from a rotisserie restoration, this 1969 Dodge Superbee A12 is painted in its factory “Hi Impact” EV2 Hemi Orange with a Black rear stripe and interior. Under the famous “lift-off” hood lies the numbers matching 440ci Six Pack engine backed by the numbers matching A833 four speed manual transmission and Dana 60 rear axle. This has all been verified by Mopar expert Galen Govier during his visual inspection, including all the body VIN stampings and fender tag. The M2X Black bench seat interior is outfitted with a 150 MPH speedometer and Tic-Toc-Tach, a thumbwheel-design radio, wood-grain console applique and the standard horn-ring steering wheel. Outside are the Super Bee emblems and large stripe icon, black “H” wheels with chrome lug nuts, and redline tires for that all-business look. Documenting this very unique and highly collectible Mopar is its original Broadcast sheet, outlining the factory options.

Built for performance, the A12 omitted creature comforts in favor of raw, unfiltered power. Only available for a few months in mid-1969, these cars are rare and highly sought after by collectors and Mopar enthusiasts alike. Rarely does a documented, numbers-matching, rotisserie-restored, 4-speed lift-off hood car become available for sale on the open market.
