  Camaro was introduced in 1967 to attack the Mustang success. The first-generation Camaro lasted until this 1969 model year when it again paced the ‘69 Indianapolis 500. For 1969, Camaro had all-new sheet metal except the hood and trunk lid giving the car a substantially sportier look. The grille was redesigned with a heavy "V" can’t and deeply inset headlights. New door skins, rear quarter panels, and rear valance panel also gave the car a much lower, wider, more aggressive look. Camaro had two important packages available on any model. The Rally Sport or RS was an appearance package that included hidden headlights. Perhaps the most special and iconic was the Z28 performance package that reflected Chevrolet’s entry in the SCCA Trans-Am race series. Z28 included a solid-lifter 302 V8, 4-Speed Manual Transmission, Power Disc Brakes, and two wide bold stripes down the hood and decklid. The styling, considered by many Camaro enthusiasts as the ultimate muscle car look and arguably the most popular, would serve for the 1969 model year only.  

  This fully documented RS/Z28 offered here for sale was built in Norwood Ohio and shipped on October 26th, 1968 ordered new in Fathom Green with white stripes. The interior was outfitted black vinyl bucket seat interior outfitted with console and U17 gauge package. Powered by a number's matching DZ 302/290hp engine, numbers matching 4-speed close ratio M21 transmission, and a Positraction BU 3.73 12 bolt rear-end. Options include; Z28 special performance package, Z22 Rally Sport package, power steering, power brakes, cowl induction hood, tachometer, console with gauges, endura front bumper, electric clock, tilt steering wheel, simulated wood grained steering wheel, rally rims with Goodyear Polyglas tires, front and rear spoilers, and more.
