1968 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1968 Shelby GT350 Convertible.

In 1968 only 404 Shelby GT350 convertible Mustangs were produced for the model year. It also marked the year that Ford took over production of the Shelby vehicles with operations moving to Livonia, Michigan from California. The styling changes for 1968 were minor with the front of the vehicle restyled resulting in more aggressive appearance. The headlights switched back to the single seven-inch unit configuration with Marshall fog lamps positioned inside the grill. The hood was once again a fiberglass unit with repositioned scoops and air-extraction louvers.

According to the Marti Report this 1968 Shelby GT350 Convertible rolled off the line on January 15th, 1968 in its factory Candy Apple Red paint, and with the 302-4V V8 GT350 engine and factory 4 speed transmission. Sold new at the famed SC Motors in San Francisco California well known for selling some of the finest as well as rarest Shelby cars ever produced.  It is an early production model sporting original Marshall fog lights. Also, making it very unique as it is equipped the the factory smog system, due to being sold new in the state of California.  It left the factory with a list of various options that include; Saddle Vinyl Luxury Bucket Seats, shoulder harness, White power top and glass backlight, extra cooling package, power disc brakes, power steering, Tilt-Away Steering Wheel, AM radio, the Interior Décor Group, Visibility Group, heavy duty battery, tachometer and trip odometer and wheel lip moldings. This GT350 is highly original and untouched still sporting its original paint and interior. The undercarriage has never been restored and a text book original example with factory correct paint dabs, markings, overspray and primer. This original Shelby is powered by its numbers matching engine and transmission. To finish the period correct look of this original Shelby are the original style Goodyear Speedway Tires and factory Shelby Hubcaps.

This GT350 Convertible is in amazing original survivor condition and is one of only 30 built in this color combination in 1968. This is a rare opportunity to own an amazingly original California delivered 1968 Shelby GT350 Convertible. As there are many restored cars, it is much harder to find an original survivor.
