  The 1968 Chevrolet Caprice Wagon was offered as a full-size station wagon that combined luxury with practicality. As part of the second-generation Caprice lineup, it was positioned as Chevrolet’s top-tier wagon, offering upscale features and a smooth ride. The standard engine was a: 327 cu in V8,  while people who wanted the extra grunt could option the Big Block 396ci/325hp which was the same engine used in the Chevelle’s and Camaros that were dominating dragstrips across the country! As these were used as normal forms of transportation, it's incredibly rare to find one preserved in original condition and optioned as highly as the one offered here. 

  This stunning 1968 Chevrolet Caprice Wagon is a true time capsule, boasting only 21,477 original miles and a rare big block 396/25hp cubic inch V8 engine under the hood and a host of options. The car was sold new by G.K. Chevrolet of Downers Grove, Illinois, and was reportedly retained by the original owner until 2017 remaining in incredible original condition including still wearing its original K code Tripoli Turqoise paint. Adding to its rarity this example came with a host of options including factory air conditioning, power steering, power disc brakes, power tailgate, am/fm radio, tinted glass and factory luggage carrier (chrome roof rack). Documenting this special wagon includes the original inspection report, sales invoice, Protect-O-Plate, owner’s manuals and more.
