1967 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster 427/435HP.

  The 1967 Corvette Sting Ray was the last Corvette of the second generation, and five years of refinements made it the best of the line. The 427/435HP L71 Sting Ray would be the high-water mark of Corvette performance and refinement for the C2 series of cars. Changes were modest with five smaller front fender vents replacing the three larger ones and the flat-finish rockers conferred a lower profile. New was a single backup light mounted above the license plate and the previous models' wheel covers were exchanged for the new design. Interior alterations included revised upholstery and the handbrake moved from beneath the dash to between the seats. The 427/435hp came standard from the factory with the Holley triple two-barrel carburetor arrangement called Tri-Power. The rare L71 engine package cost the original buyer an extra $437.10 on the GM order form. 

  As per the NCRS Shipping Data Report, the car was sold new at Bob Robertson Inc in Houston, Texas. Factory painted in the attractive code 974 Rally Red complemented by code 455BE White/Black leather interior; the car offered here is a truly exciting example of the pinnacle year Corvette. Under the famous Stinger hood lies a numbers matching L71 427/435 V-8 engine backed by a numbers matching M21 4-speed manual transmission. Additional options include side exhaust, shoulder harness, posi-traction, power brakes and power steering.

  As with any Corvette of this rarity, this example was deserving of a professional frame off restoration to show quality. The body was removed from the frame and every component refinished to an extremely high level. Since the restoration has been completed, it has been mostly shown and used only occasionally on the perfect sunny day.
