  The 1967 Chevrolet Corvette is one of the most iconic American cars of the 1960’s. America’s Sports Car had developed a reputation of great performance and unmistakable styling. Of course, it was the big block 427 cars which garnered a lot of the attention but the high horsepower 327 cars were among the best balanced sports car for the time. Like the 289 vs 427 Cobra, the 327 Corvettes are often looked upon as being the better of the two engines for those looking for a balance of drivability, performance and comfort. Unlike the first generation, the Sting Ray could be had in both coupe and convertible body styles, and this proved to be a big hit with the public. Over the course of the Sting Ray’s production from 1963 to 1967, styling remained largely the same albeit for some subtle changes. Four-wheel disc brakes and a big-block engine became available in 1965, and with a long list of options and colors, enthusiasts could mix and match to their hearts’ desires.

  This Corvette has been tastefully modified for greater performance while keeping the original styling. It is finished in the highly desirable Tuxedo Black with a Red stinger big block hood and a matching Black Interior. Under the hood, this 1967 Corvette Coupe boasts a LT-1 that has been built with a .550-inch lift roller camshaft, Airflow Research slant-plug aluminum heads that were fully ported and polished, Weiand polished intake manifold, 750 CFM Holley double-pumper, while MSD supplied the ignition system. This powerplant is backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. The matching-numbers 327 was removed and will accompany the car to its next owner. Having benefited from a complete frame off restoration one can certainly see much time, effort and money has been spent on this Corvette. 

  Lighter than the 427–cubic inch Corvettes and bestowed with better weight distribution and plenty of horsepower, small-block Corvettes are wonderful drivers. Comfortable at speed and capable of keeping up with modern traffic with ease, a coupe can easily double as a warm-weather daily driver. This particular example presents very well and will surely please its next caretaker as it is a great entry level type Corvette.
