LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible
The 1967 model year was a milestone in Corvette history, marking the end of production for the second-generation models. Interestingly, while 1966 was supposed to have been the last model year for this body style, production delays on the upcoming new Mako Shark show car-inspired Corvette design necessitated extension of the second-generation production run for one additional year. As a result, the cars were only slightly updated for 1967, but today, they are coveted as the most refined second-generation Corvettes produced. While most people remember the big-block Corvettes available from 1965, in period buyers still favored the 327 CI small-block V-8 in its various states of tune, accounting for almost 91 percent of sales.
This sensational 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible was sold new at Mall Chevrolet Inc in Cherry Hill, NJ and was equipped from the factory with Tinted Glass, Auxiliary Hardtop, Posi traction Rear Axle, Am/Fm Radio and Rally wheels with white line bias ply tires. A highly original, unrestored example believed to be 11,609 miles since new, this is a benchmark certified example that retains its numbers matching L75 327/300hp engine, M20 4-speed manual transmission and Posi traction rear end. The undercarriage is evident of the low mileage showing many of its chalk marks and assembly tags from the factory. Even more impressive it still retains its correct rally wheels and believed to be original non-DOT Uniroyal Laredo tires including the spare.
With such excellent preservation, this 1967 Corvette Convertible has enjoyed success in high-level judging, including Bloomington Gold Survivor Certification, Bloomington Gold Benchmark, NCRS Top Flight and NCRS Bowtie Award.
Important with any car of caliber, this Corvette comes well documented with the warranty book and Protect-O-Plate, owner's manual, ownership history, Tank Sticker (which is still affixed to the Tank), awards and more. For any Corvette purist that appreciates originality and survivor cars, this example would be a great addition to your collection.
