1967 Chevrolet Corvette

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 427/435HP.

  The 1967 Corvette Sting Ray was the last Corvette of the second generation, and five years of refinements made it the best of the line. The 427/435HP L71 Sting Ray would be the high-water mark of Corvette performance and refinement for the C2 series of cars. Changes were modest with five smaller front fender vents replacing the three larger ones and the flat-finish rockers conferred a lower profile. New was a single backup light mounted above the license plate and the previous models' wheel covers were exchanged for the new design. Interior alterations included revised upholstery and the handbrake moved from beneath the dash to between the seats. The 427/435hp came standard from the factory with the Holley triple two-barrel carburetor arrangement called Tri-Power. The rare L71 engine package cost the original buyer an extra $437.10 on the GM order form. This is one of only 8,504 Coupes for the production year that put 22,940 Corvettes on the road so once again the Coupe was the rare model.

  This 1967 Corvette was produced on March, 4th, 1966 at the St. Louis Assembly Plant and was ordered with the optional solid lifter L71 427/435HP engine and M21 4-speed close ratio manual transmission. This performance Corvette was factory finished in the beautiful and classic Sunfire Yellow and Black interior. Other options included Std Black soft top, F41 suspension, push button AM/FM radio, power windows and side exhaust. It was then shipped to Gates Chevrolet in Mishawaka, Indiana where it would be sold new. 

  This factory L71 Corvette is powered by the numbers matching 427/435HP engine certified by Al Greening, and numbers matching 4-speed close ratio transmission. It has been frame off restored back to showroom new with beautiful paint, interior, detailed engine compartment and undercarriage. Finishing off the appearance of this Corvette is a set of correct rally wheels with redline bias ply tires. Accompanying this beautiful example of one of the ultimate and most collectible Corvettes is a large binder of documents and history some of which includes; the NCRS Shipping Data Report, Original NCRS Validated Tank Sticker, Ownership History, NCRS Top Flight Award 2017, ’67 Corvette Owner’s Manual, AM/FM Radio Operating Instruction Booklet, and Radio Tag, plus much more. With a car in this condition, matching numbers engine and plus verified factory original documentation makes this an extremely rare and collectable example.
