Fully restored 396 Big block Chevelle

Originally designed to compete with Ford in the midsize sedan market the Chevelle was available in a variety of body styles. Ranging from two to four door models, convertibles, hardtops, and even station wagons. Several engines were also made available from the beginning of production including several straight six and also both a small and big block V8. Customers were spoiled for choice in the way of transmissions as well with two choices of both automatic and manual. To help manage the power delivered from the Turbo jet V8 the Chevelle SS shared reinforced undercarriage components from the Malibu sport coupe.

This wonderful Chevelle we have here is a sterling example of a professionally executed body off frame rotisserie restoration. The exterior has been beautifully finished in its trim tag correct Granada gold and black vinyl roof. From the aggressive styling of the unique big block hood paired with the rally wheels and distinct classic red striping adorning the tire sidewalls it will certainly turn heads wherever it goes. Inside we find the black vinyl interior which is equipped with such options as bucket seats and center console speaks true to the level of attention put into this restoration. Under the hood is the L34 option which is a true 350 horsepower 396 Turbo jet V8 engine attached to a four speed Muncie transmission. Styling alone on this particular vehicle makes it a very tempting prospect but when paired with the excellent mechanical condition of the big block V8 performance is unhindered. Having already benefitted from the frame off rotisserie restoration, a process which is always time consuming and costly, as well as being well optioned with the desirable livery and big block drivetrain, this Chevelle is an attractive car to the discerning collector or even the muscle car enthusiast wanting a car to drive, enjoy and take to cruises.
