Few first-year Camaros capture the excitement of Chevrolet’s Indy 500 heritage like the 1967 Camaro RS/SS Pace Car Convertible. Built in limited numbers to commemorate pacing the 51st running of the Indianapolis 500, these cars combined standout styling with top-tier performance. Finished in its iconic Pace Car livery of Ermine White with Bright Blue nose stripe and Blue deluxe interior, this example has been treated to a no-expense-spared frame-off restoration, returning it to factory-fresh presentation from top to bottom. Only 104 of these cars were produced in 1967 making them very hard to come by and a unique acquisition for any Chevrolet collector.
Power comes from the numbers matching L48 350/295hp cubic-inch Super Sport V8, an engine unique to 1967 and highly regarded for its strong performance and smooth drivability. It is paired to a Powerglide automatic transmission, making this RS/SS Pace Car both enjoyable on the road and faithful to original equipment. The car retains its full Rally Sport package, including hideaway headlights, bright trim, and RS badging, combined with the Super Sport performance options of dual exhaust, heavy-duty suspension, and power front disc brakes.
Inside, the restored Blue deluxe interior showcases wood-grain trim, bucket seats, center console, and the refinements expected from a factory Pace Car. The exterior features the correct white power convertible top, 15-inch Rally wheels, and proper Pace Car door graphics, completing its unmistakable appearance.
Underneath, the Camaro is as impressive as it is above, with a fully detailed chassis, restored suspension components, correct finishes, and proper inspection marks—reflecting the quality and accuracy of its rotisserie restoration.
