In the mid 1960's the Chevrolet Impala was the best selling car in the United States . Part of that was due to the fact you could order one for almost any market, large sedan, family hauler station wagon, classy cruiser convertible of the Sport Coupe SS with a variety of engines ranging from tame 6 cylinders to Chevy Big Blocks.

Purchased new at Stanley Chevrolet in Ferrum Virginia , this factory Tuxedo Black with black interior Impala 2 door sport coupe was a nicely optioned example. Per the original window sticker, this car was factory equipped with the L35 396/325hp and a Muncie M20 4 speed transmission along with F40 sport suspension, AM/FM radio, tach and even rarely seen hazard warning switches, deluxe seat belts and much more. The car spent the majority of its life with the original owner, carefully maintained over the years. It is due to this care that the car remains in such original condition today. The body panels of this car are original, the interior remains largely original, original Protect-O-Plate remain with the car as do the previously mentioned window sticker. This car has the look and feel of a great original style car, both runs and drives beautifully and remains an excellent showcase of special options and features shown available on the 1966 Chevrolet Impala.
