For the 1966 model year, the muscle car movement was really picking up steam. The horsepower wars were starting to heat up and performance was a major selling factor for many buyers. After introducing the 396 engine into the mid-size Chevelle in 1965, Chevrolet elected to expand the engine option list in 1966 by now offering more versions of the 396 to the consumer. The Chevelle also grew in size a little and the styling started to have a more aggressive look.

This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle has benefited from a great restoration in its correct colour of Regal Red with medium red bucket interior. Being an original 13800 series Chevelle, it is of course powered by a beautifully detailed 396 Chevrolet big block and backed by a Muncie 4 speed transmission. Open the drivers door and the fully restored red bucket interior is inviting, sitting behind the wheel you quickly notice the "knee knocker" tach mounted to the dash and wide sweeping speedometer. Equipped with power brakes under the Rally wheels, the car is a true joy to drive with the soundtrack from the Big Block adding to the experience.
