1965 Superformance AC Cobra

LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1965 Superformance Cobra 

  The Shelby Cobra has always been one of the most desirable sports cars built but, the prices of original examples have made it difficult for enthusiasts to obtain. The availability of Superformance Cobras like this beautiful example has allowed owners who want to drive one of these machines the opportunity not available with million-dollar originals. Superformance is licensed by Shelby and has cemented a reputation in the industry for delivering a great product.

  This Superformance Cobra offered for sale was optioned uniquely to look like the original streetcar with the removal of any roll bar, hood-scoop and side exhaust.  The power plant rumbling beneath the hood is a Ford 390 FE block that has been bored .040 over to displace 397 CI, which is now rated at 450 HP and 525 lb-ft of torque. Internal upgrades include Keith Black hypereutectic pistons, a Comp Cams hydraulic flat-tappet camshaft, a Melling high-volume oil pump, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads and intake and a FiTech fuel-injection system. The FE engine is backed with a Tremec TKO600 5-speed transmission featuring overdrive for better street manners. A complete underbody exhaust was used to give this Cobra a more authentic look instead of the more commonly seen side exit exhaust. 

  Painted in stunning beautiful Black paint that complements the interior which showcases a premium-material red leather interior, complete with a wood-rimmed steering wheel, dash-installed period-face aftermarket gauges, floor shift and chrome brake handle. The package rolls on a set of 15-inch pin-drive wheels, also painted black, with chrome three-point knockoffs featuring 245/60R15 front and 295/50R15 rear Avon tires. 

  With only 172 miles on the odometer, this Superformance Cobra is ready to be enjoyed by its next caretaker!
