  The CSX4000 series Cobras are produced with Shelby American and are certainly the closest to an original CSX3000 series you will find. Styled after the infamous 427 S/C Cobras, these continuation cars are equipped with side pipes and S/C roll bar. The cars use original style chassis which have been strengthened while also taking advantage of some modern upgrades which enhance the cars safety and performance such as Baer Brakes all around. 

  As per the registry, this 1965 Shelby Cobra CSX4000 Series was completed by renowned HRE Motorsports of Freeport, New York. Carroll Shelby’s “continuation series” of his beloved 427 Cobra gave rise to an all-new generation of Cobra owners demanding the ultimate in Cobra authenticity, which of course also required no less than Shelby’s imprimatur.

  Finished in black with a matching black interior, black roll bar and quick-jack bumpers, this CSX4000 Series is powered by a Shelby Engines alloy FE 427 V-8 built to 467 CI. Correctly finished with a 4-barrel Holley dual-feed carburetor on an aluminum Shelby intake, black-finned Shelby valve covers and HPC-coated headers and side pipes, this burly big-block was balanced, built and dyno-tested by legendary NASCAR and ARCA race engine builder Ernie Elliot, whose accomplishments include powering his brother, Bill, to a 20-year Hall of Fame career that included two Daytona 500 victories and the 1988 Winston Cup Championship. Finished with a set of cast Halibrand Pin Drive wheels shod in sticky Avon tires completes this incredible Cobra. 

  Complete with tools and documented with build photos, dyno sheet, copy Shelby Certificate of Authenticity and a copy of Shelby signed original deposit form.
