  Ford introduced the Fastback version of the popular Mustang in August 1964. It traded conventional trunk space for increased interior volume and gave the car lines similar to the Corvette and some European sports cars. The car was received with praise as it introduced a racing disposition to the Mustang line and even served as the basis for Carroll Shelby to build his GT350s. Today, Fastback Mustang’s serve as a very popular platform for Hot Rodders to improve on the performance and styling offered from the factory.

  This 1965 Ford Mustang is an exceptional resto mod example that has been built with some of the best components available. Finished in a beautiful shade of Red with Gray metallic stripes, complimented by a black vinyl interior fitted with Vintage Air, Bluetooth radio and updated gauges. Starting with the heart of this machine, is a BluePrint Engine 347ci/415hp With Holley Sniper Fuel Injection. Behind that healthy V8, is a close ratio Tremec TKO 5-speed transmission with a new clutch assembly that is easy to operate. Most important with any resto mod build is the suspension needed to make these old pony cars handle. This car is fitted with one of the best setups in the industry, it has the complete RidTech Street Grip system which includes front dual rate coil springs, front Sway bar, Delrin control arm bushings, ball joint wedge plate, HQ Series adjustable monotube shocks, composite leaf springs, Delrin leaf spring bushings and shackles. Braking duties are handled by Wilwood four piston calipers front and rear that are power assisted. Steering feel has been improved with an EPAS electric power steering system. This fastback rides on American Racing 16 inch Torque Thrusts wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact tires all around.
