1965 Chevrolet Chevelle/Malibu L79/4 Speed

Entering its second year of production, the Chevrolet Chevelle had become a popular addition to the growing mid sized car market. In an effort to keep up with other competitors in the growing muscle car market, Chevrolet introduced an exciting new engine option, the L79 327 making 350 hp.

On June 3^rd, 1965 at Wilcox-Rau Chevrolet in New Britain Conn. a smile appeared on the face of their customer who just agreed to pay $74.04/month for 36 months to purchase this beautiful Chevelle Malibu, equipped with the new for 1965 L79 327/350hp engine with 4 speed transmission. In selecting the L79 option, that also meant special sport suspension and posi-traction rear end were fitted to the car. To compliment the stunning Danube Blue paint, blue interior was selected with an optional tinted windshield and P.B. radio. Still titled in the name of the original owner, this car has always been meticulously cared for and cherished. It retains its numbers matching engine and all associated documentation including original protect-o-plate, dealer documentation including dealer invoice, purchase agreement and even pay stud/invoice for a small repair completed by the dealer a year after the purchase. The striking Chevelle, with its impeccable paint job and interior with the owner history, drivetrain and documentation sought after by collectors, making an incredible addition to any enthusiast garage.

Originally sold through Wilcox-Rau Chevrolet on June 3^rd 1965, this beautiful L79 Chevelle Malibu remains titled in the name of that original owner and as such retains lots of interesting original documentation. It has also benefited from a full frame off restoration, seeing only test mileage since completion.
