The year is 1961, Chevrolet brought us the Corvette only eight years prior and in this time it had taken on many changes. New features for this year included updated rear styling foregoing the traditional molded rear taillights for four round taillights. A new wire grille was added up front while the previous glass hood ornament was removed, all of these changes added up to make a Corvette that truly stood out. 

The example we have here shows to have been tastefully restored, with eye catching Roman red exterior, Ermine white coves, and topped off with a gleaming white soft top. The interior quality is excellent with tradition salt and pepper loop carpets and red upholstery. This is a numbers matching vehicle with the correct CU suffix 283/270hp dual quad V8 engine which would be the last year the dual quad option was made available. Apart from its unique features and that it is the last two tone exteriors until the 1978 model year; it is also one of the last examples of the solid axle generation. This would make an excellent addition to any enthusiast's collection and a welcome sight at any classic car meet.
