1958 marked the first year for the four-headlight design on the Corvette. This general design would be around until 1962 with a few tweaks, but the new for 1958 models had a few unique aspects that were only around the one year, making them the most unique of the solid axle Corvettes and louvered “washboard” engine hood and chrome “spears” on the rear trunk lid. They were also available with no less than five variations of the famous 283 cubic inch engine, from mild 230hp to the wild 290hp Fuel Injected engine.

Being a desirable 1958 model and equipped with the rare 290hp “Fuelie” engine, this beautiful Corvette was certainly deserving of its beautiful restoration. The Signet Red paint with white coves shows beautifully with a very clean polished finish and the black interior has been fully restored. A close inspection around the exterior of the car and the quality becomes even more evident with the excellent chrome and aluminum bright work seen throughout along with the white convertible soft top. The 283 Fuel Injected 290hp “CS” code motor has been well tuned to run just as you would expect and sounds terrific in doing so putting its power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed transmission.
