Beautifully Frame off Restored

For the 1954 model year, Chevrolet hired a new designer named Chuck Jordan to keep the pickup truck line fresh. They came up with the project name "Task Force" and ultimately there would be three series of designs all an evolution of the previous. By 1957 the Series III trucks came out and were certainly the best culmination of the two previous. More trim, more intricate grill but a very familiar cab design to the 1955-1956's.

Presented here is a fully frame off rotisserie restored 1957 Chevrolet 3100 short bed ½ ton Series III truck. Finished in just the right livery for a 1957 model Chevy, Turquoise with white trim, tons of original chrome and a white interior, the truck shows beautifully from top to bottom. All the chrome and bright work including the special grille, the bumpers and aluminum trim all show as new. One look at the truck and it is clear that a lot of time was put towards the details of the restoration as the body is very straight. The box is finished properly with a varnished oak floor. The driver side mounted spare matches the rest with chrome hub caps along with trim rings and wide white wall tire. It is also equipped with chrome side mirrors and window shields. The 235 hp inline 6 cylinder fires instantly with a touch of the floor mounted starter button and the "3 on the tree" transmission works smoothly. It is rare to see a truck built with this kind of detail which has not been "hot-rodded" but well restored original trucks such as this one have been strong in the collector car market of late. A great example to be enjoyed for many years to come.
