1954 Chevrolet Corvette

Family Owned for over Four Decades

In 1953 Chevrolet introduced the Corvette and with that was the birth of a legend. The early Corvettes were all powered by the Blue Flame 6 cylinder engine with triple side draft carbs and PowerGlide automatic transmission. Unlike the 1953 models which were all Polo White with red interior, 1954 brought with it a few options, Sportsman Red, black, Polo White and Pennant blue, all with red interiors except for the latter which came with tan interior and matching soft top.

Finished in Pennant blue with tan interior and a tan soft top, this particular Corvette was purchased in the early 1970's by the owner of a Chevrolet dealer who would end up putting the car into storage where it would sit for almost another 30 years. At that time the next generation was running the dealership and it was deemed time that the beautiful little Corvette saw some use. A frame off restoration was completed with all the mechanicals also getting freshened. The chrome and other brightwork was also restored to match the beautiful quality of the body and chassis. Since the completion of the restoration the car has seen minimal use, coming out only for some sunny afternoon cruises. The Blue Flame 235 cubic inch six cylinder engine is still equipped with the correct head as well as triple "SA" side carburetors all attached to a Powerglide transmission. The whole package works together beautifully, starting and driving as you would expect. The car comes complete with photos and invoices detailing the frame off restoration, elements making it that much more desirable. This Corvette has a great history and fantastic quality making it a desirable car to both collectors and Corvette enthusiasts alike.
