1954 Cadillac Eldorado

Fabulous 50's Styling.

In the early 50's Cadillac had just recently surpassed Packard as being the premiere luxury car builder in North America, producing some incredible cars and what would become famous styling features. For 1953 Cadillac unveiled a new flagship model Eldorado with incredible features and styling, from wrap around windshields to the early days of the finned 50's, a full complement of power features such as power seats, windows, convertible tops and signal seeking radios and 331 cu in engines. The popularity of this model only grew as years went on.

Presented here is a stunning example of the 1954 Cadillac Eldorado convertible. Finished in red with beautiful white leather interior, this is one of only 2,150 produced for this model year. All the brilliant styling characteristics of the 50's can be found starting with the massive chrome front bumper with large grille, the wrap around windshield, small fender skirts with aluminum body side accents and the early signs of the fins on the back, finished off with the exhaust exiting through the outlets in the rear bumper. Slide into the soft leather of the driver seat and you are welcomed by a large diameter steering, more chrome and aluminum trim and treated to many special features right down to the "Sport Deck" rear end better known as the Continental Kit and even the Autronic-Eye. Mechanically this car features the 331 cu in, 220hp V8 engine and Hydramatic transmission, power brakes wrapped with the chrome wire wheels and wide white wall tires. When new these cars were a true sign of class and social significance, to this day they have an incredible presence which is impossible to ignore.
